The Hay Paddock Syrah

Picture
The low cropping vines of moderate vigour at our single vineyard estate on Waiheke Island produce wines which show great concentration, colour and complexity as well as ripe tannins in a long finish. The 2010 vintage has been awarded 5-stars by leading commentators including 91+ points from Robert Parker and a host of international gold medals.

ROW 104 is a special selection of vines made by the winemaker and the wine has many years to travel before reaching optimum maturity.

Chardonnay

Our Chardonnay grapes are specially grown for us in Gisborne, New Zealand's pre-eminent home for Chardonnay grapes.  Softened and flavoured with light oak ageing and malolactic fermentation, the wine is fruitful and dry and best served chilled.

PITCHFORK 2016
Hawkes Bay Classic Red

A blend of four classic varieties grown on Hawkes Bay's Gimblett Gravels, with Syrah and Malbec dominant providing a seamless integration of mellow fruit and a mid-weight palate  suited to many food styles.

THE NOVELIST 2013
Waiheke Island Syrah

The excellent vintage in 2013 with dry conditions in late summer allowed extended hang time for the fruit resulting in soft ripe tannins and fully developed phenolics. Named for the winemaker who believes that fine wine, as with writing, benefits from careful ageing.
