Trimming and tucking, commence bunch thinning and bunch closure.
February
On-set of veraison, bunch thinning, apply bird netting, follow-up leaf stripping and lateral thinning.
March
Berry sampling, final on-vine bunch selection and commence grape harvest.
April
Remove and pack bird netting and 24-hour winery roster.
May
Soil analysis, under-vine soil treatment and sow inter-row cover crops.
June
Barrel and tank cleaning and transfers and vineyard maintenance.
July
Pruning to 2 canes and replacement spurs.
August
Stripping out pruned wood and tying down canes and lime Sulphur spray pre-bud swell.
September
Mulch inter-row green manure, apply lime/gypsum, bud burst mid-month and seasonal spray programme commences.
October
Select buds for vertical shoot positioning and new/replacement vine planting.
November
Shoot thinning and tucking, lift canopy wires, petiole analysis, commence foliar feeding and flowering mid-month.
December
Leaf stripping and laternal thinning.
